Witch City Wicks is a small candle, home and gift shop looking for a part-time retail keyholder to join our team in our Salem location. As a keyholder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the spirit of Witch City Wicks.

The key holder position hours is 14-21 hours per week. Candidate will learn about our unique small business and possesses the communication skills to provide the highest level of customer service to our customers.

Working with the Store Manager this person will:

   •   Open and close the store following established procedures, including cash handling and security measures.

   •   Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and providing recommendations based on their preferences.

   •   Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash, credit/debit cards, and gift certificates.

   •   Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring product availability.

   •   Help manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and assist with receiving shipments.

   •   Assist in merchandising efforts, including setting up seasonal displays and promoting new products.

   •   Uphold brand standards and represent Witch City Wicks with enthusiasm and professionalism.

   •   Act as a keyholder responsible for opening and closing the store, including securing the premises and ensuring adherence to operating procedures.

   •   Collaborate with the store manager and team members to achieve sales targets and provide feedback on customer preferences and trends.

   •   Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a timely and courteous manner, striving to exceed customer expectations.


Requirements:

   •   Previous retail experience, preferably in a keyholder or supervisory role.

   •   Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

   •   Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a passion for helping customers and creating positive experiences.

   •   Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

   •   Basic math skills for handling transactions and performing inventory tasks.

   •   Knowledge of candles, home decor, or similar products is a plus.

   •   Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

   •   Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

   •   Comfortable using POS systems and technology for store operations.

   •   A genuine interest in the themes and atmosphere of Witch City Wicks and a willingness to learn about our products and brand story.
