Witch City Wicks is hiring Seasonal Retail Associates to join our team from August through early November as Salem comes alive for Halloween season. Every fall, thousands of visitors walk through our doors looking for the perfect signature fragrance, Salem souvenir or spooky keepsake. Our team creates memorable shopping experiences by providing exceptional customer service, sharing our love of the brand and being in Salem, and keeping the energy high during one of the busiest retail seasons in New England.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy, works well under pressure, and wants to experience Salem during its most iconic season.

What You'll Do

As a Seasonal Retail Associate, you'll be the face of Witch City Wicks and help create a welcoming, memorable experience for every customer.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting every customer with enthusiasm and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere
• Basic knowledge of the downtown Salem area is extremely helpful in guiding our visitors and answering questions
• Learning our products to confidently recommend fragrances and gift ideas
• Providing exceptional customer service while facilitating sales, returns, and exchanges
• Educating customers on candle care and product usage
• Keeping the sales floor stocked, organized, and visually appealing throughout the day
• Assisting with receiving inventory and replenishing merchandise
• Helping maintain a clean, organized shop and back-of-house workspace
• Working as a team to keep up with the fast pace of October crowds while maintaining a positive attitude

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous retail or customer service experience
• Loves interacting with people and providing exceptional customer experiences
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Can stay calm, organized, and efficient during high-volume business
• Is dependable, punctual, and has reliable transportation
• Can multitask and adapt quickly as priorities change throughout the day
• Works well independently while also being a supportive team member
• Appreciates the Witch City Wicks brand and enjoys our witchy, modern aesthetic

Availability Requirements

Our busiest season is September through Halloween, and reliable availability is essential. Applicants must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays between August and early November, with open availability throughout October strongly preferred.

Please note:

• Frequent time-off requests during October cannot be accommodated.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Seasonal associates are expected to work during our busiest weekends leading up to Halloween.
