Witch City Wicks is looking for a strong, energetic, and self-motivated individual to join our production studio as a Production & Shipping Assistant. This is a hands-on, multi-task role supporting all stages of candle creation, from prep and pouring to labeling, packing, and online order fulfillment.

If you love Halloween, horror movies, a darker aesthetic, and the behind-the-scenes magic of a small Salem-based business, you’ll fit right in. Because we work with fragrance all day, this role isn’t ideal for those with scent sensitivities.

Position Details

• $18/hr
• Up to 35 hours per week
• Must be 18 or older
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for several hours at a time

What You’ll Do

Production Duties:

• Assist with post-production tasks: labeling, packaging, and quality checks
• Load wax melters (up to 300 lbs of wax daily)
• Hand-pour candles with care and consistency
• Wick jars and prep vessels for pouring
• Clean, label, and finish candles with high aesthetic standards
• Keep the studio and inventory organized, tidy, and easy to navigate

Shipping Duties:

• Work closely with the Shipping Manager to pick, pack, and prepare online orders
• Accurately pull inventory for daily shipments
• Ensure all orders are packed safely, beautifully, and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized shipping area
• Assist with restocking shipping materials and monitoring supply levels
